Golden Shimmer's and Shrubbery

I stood in the middle of the road,

To the left i glanced,

I saw golden shimmers and beautifull shrubbery,

To the right i glanced and i heard music and talking,

I stood there for a while just thinking,

And as i did, i saw people walking,

Going past me to the golden shimmers and shrubbery,

Then after a while, i heard a voice,

From above me, Right in the middle, sounding its call,

It said come now and be free,

You can watch over your family,

Without being in pain,

Come now and be happy and carefree again,

So i stepped into the golden shimmers,

I found it was actully sunlight and Angel's robes,

And the shrubbery beautifull trees and flower beds,

Then on the other side,

I had just died, with music playing and people talking,

At my bedside,

Its a funny thing,

To be in the middle of life and death,

I did not realise it,

Until that moment, at the end,

But one day, i will meet you at that same road,

So you will not be confused,

And you will know,

That the golden shimmers and shrubbery,

Are the way home.

XxX I let go xXx

It was a funny feeling being back on my road,

For you see i had died not 2 hours ago,

Yet in that time i had seen my family,

and now here i was,

Back on the road on which i had lived and loved so much,

Yet with every step i took,

I began to let go,

I let go of neghbiours whispering over the fence,

I let go of the flower beds,

I let go of joggers and mailmen,

I let go of my friends and neghbiours, and then

I let go of delivery and moving men,

I let go of my house and all that it harboured within,

Like the clothes i used to wear and the pictures i hung on the walls,

As i walked by.

I let go of the birds and bees in the trees and

The church bell's ring,

Then as i lifted towards the sky,

It was a funny feeling i felt inside,

As i let go of the things that always seemed so certian in life,

I realised,

Those things are for the living i used them when i was alive,

But you dont need a new spounge for the bath, when you die,

No,

I no longer needed telephones or glasses or even wine,

They are not nessecary in the sky,

Infact i held on to only two things,

My memories and family,

For we will all meet again some day,

But until then our love will never die,

So goodbye now,

I am leaving this world through a cloud in the sky.

xxx SEVEN STEPS TO HEAVEN xxx

I looked up in the sky
Seven clouds hung over me
There like stepping stones
Plain as plain could be
Then i had a picture
Printed in my mind
That if i walked across them
I wondered what i would find
I floated up to see them
To see where they would go
Across the seven steps
That were as white as snow
When i reached the end
There was an angel standing there
With her big white wings
And floating in the air
These were the steps to heaven
They had called to me
To take me to the place
Where our pets are flying free

When you lose someone that you love,
the pain is hard to hide..
but when you lose a pet like mine,
it breaks you up inside..
a smile can hide my sadness,
a tear can wipe away,
but the heartache of losin a fur child

Surrounded by love in a medow of green
Our fur babies are with us though no longer seen

A rainbow lights the way.

I have not turned my back on you
So there is no need to cry.
I'm watching you from heaven
Just beyond the morning sky.

I've seen you almost fall apart
When you could barely stand.
I asked an angel to comfort you
And watched her take your hand.

She told me you are in more pain
Than I could ever be.
She wiped her eyes and swallowed hard
Then gave your hand to me.

Although you may not feel my touch
Or see me by your side.
I've whispered that I love you
While I wiped each tear you cried.

So please try not to ache for me

A Gift Of A Pet


A pets love is one of God's greatest gifts
Always there for you
Their love never lifts.
A pet is a friend to treasure and love,
A gift from the heavens,
A gift from above.
When you look into your pet's trusting eyes,
Something is there
That no one can disguise.
It's a look of complete love and something to admire,
It makes your heart melt
And sets your soul afire.
When the day comes for you and him to part,
Your pet's soul is still with you,
He is still in your heart.
And at the Bridge he does what he used to,
Running, playing, jumping
And waiting for you.
And when you do enter heaven forever,
You find your still loving pet
And cross the Rainbow Bridge together.

IN A GARDEN FOR ANGELS

Life is a gift not ours to keep,
A seed unsown and yet we still reap.

Here for only a very short while,
The heavenly reality of an earthly denial.

Like a flickering light here and then gone,
The essence of what love is based upon.

Birth and death the beginning and end,
As one heart breaks another one mends.

What was never ours is no more,
Returning to whom it belonged before?

Tear filled eyes silence the heart,
As body and spirit slowly part.

Life is a journey from first breath to last,
Memories left behind in the eternal past.

The here and now releases becoming a remember when,
Replanting the seed so that a new harvest can begin.

With trembling hands love says good-bye,
But still the heart can't help but ask, "Why God Why?"

A heavenly destination will be reached this day,
And in a garden for angels another spirit will awaken to play.
